The United States Of America is offering medical support to some Libyans. A statement released by Secretary Hillary Clinton and Secretary Leon Panetta on Thursday spoke of the humanitary efforts by the US to help Libyan fighters receive proper medical care for cases involving seriously wounded individuals.

24 dangerously wounded fighters were being transferred to Boston, Massachusetts for medical attention they wouldn’t have received in Libya. The health care facilities in Libya do not have the necessary equipment to properly treat these individuals.

Following the recent fighting by rebels to over throw the Gaddafi regime, and the subsequent struggle to gain control and order is still affecting the country and some fighting is to be expected over the next couple of months.

As a sign of the US support of the recent events in Libya, and the desire to help the nation move forward, the US is offering support to further the country’s goal of becoming a stable democratic nation.
